Cooking Up Conversations!

Just like mixing ingredients makes something yummy, mixing questions makes great conversations! You never know — your “recipe for friendship” might turn into giggles, big smiles, and maybe even a new inside joke.

Creative Vocabulary:

  • Host – The special person who plans the fun and welcomes friends.
  • Conversation – Talking and listening to each other.
  • Curious – Wanting to learn more (that’s you, super host!).

Make your own Friendship Question Jar!
Write your questions on slips of paper, fold them up, and put them in a jar or bowl. Each friend takes turns picking one to answer. Bonus points for the funniest or most surprising answer!

parent tip

At this age, social play is how kids practice empathy and communication. Encourage your little host to ask one question at a time and let their guest answer fully before adding their own story. You’ll be amazed at how naturally they learn kindness, patience, and curiosity — all while laughing over the world’s most important question: “If you could eat only one kind of cookie forever, which would it be?” 🍪
