Art You Can Eat

A mosaic is an artwork made by arranging small pieces into a big design. Here, the colorful produce becomes your “tiles,” and your cracker is the canvas.

Creative Vocabulary:

  • Mosaic – Art made from many small pieces.
  • Pattern – A design that repeats.
  • Composition – How you arrange all the parts to make a whole picture.

Challenge kids to make self-portraits using only fruits and veggies!

parent tip

Pre-slice fruits and veggies to make assembly easy and safe for kids.
